How to play Xbox games from remote and Xbox Cloud on the deck

I hope you can play Pass and other Xbox games on Steam deck without resorting to Windows installation? Good news! Here’s how to do this using free App Greenlight and some alternative methods as well.

The first installation of Appimagelauncher

We will use an application called Appimagelauncher to install a free app called Greenlight (formerly Xbox XCloud) on the deck. This will allow us to connect to the local Xbox system and use the Microsoft Xbox Cloud Games platform.

To do this, you can take on your steam surface and switch to desktop by pressing the power button at the top of the device and choosing “Switch To Desktop”.

Once you move your delay to Linux desktop, open Firefox and go to the Github Appimagelauncher page. I have connected a backup keyboard that I had to make writing easier, but you can use the keyboard on the screen by clicking on Steam+X.

Go to Appimagelauncher Versions Page and (within “version”) Click the file that ends in “x86_64.apimage” and then wait for the download to be completed. Open now the download folder by clicking on the Dolphin (File Explorer) icon at the bottom of the screen, followed by the “downloads” in the side ribbon.

Right -click the file you have just downloaded with the left operator from Steam Deck to reveal the context menu. Select “properties” and then go to the “Permits” tab and verify “executable” followed by “OK.”

Next Open Line Tool Konsole, which you will find in the main desktop list. Pull the file from the Dolphin window to the Konsole window, type “Install” and then run the matter by clicking on the Enter.

It’s time now to install Greenlight.

Now install Greenlight on your deck

Go Graylight GitHub Page and seizure of the latest version. Versions page. Once the download is complete, go back to the download folder in Dolphin.

Now we need to transfer the Greenlight Appimage file to a new “App” folder. The easiest way to do this is to click the “Divide” button at the top of the dolphin window, then use half the window to move to the house> (you will find the house in the side ribbon to the left).

You can clean your desktop by closing any windows that still open, including Konsole, Firefox and Dolphin. Now click on the Steam Deck menu icon in the lower left corner of the screen, find the “Greenight” application within “All applications” or “Games” and then run it.

The first thing you will see is a window that invites you to log in with the Microsoft account (xbox). Log in as you do normally, and authentication using bilateral factors.

Once you are finished, you should see your console listed on the “My Keyboard” page, and a list of games that you can jump on the XCloud Library tab. You can jump and start playing now, but first add the green light as Steam.

This allows you to run the application from the Steam Deck Deck game interface you use (unlike the desktop placement in which you are now). To start, open Steam in desktop mode (there must be a shortcut on the desktop), then use the menu bar at the top of the window to select games> Add an unsheatted game to my library.

In the window that appears, hunted Greenlight and select the square next to it, then click the “Add specific programs” button.

From here, click on the library and then look for green light. Click “COG” icon and click Properties. Here you can change the name (to something like “Xbox Remote Play” or simply get rid of the version number) and add a beautiful icon if you like. Now close the window and return to the game mode, which you can do using the shortcut on your Steamos desktop.

Create your control unit and run some games

It’s time now to configure your deck control elements for use with Greenlight. To do this, look for the game in your library (you will be on the modest tab) and select it, then use the “Control Unit Settings” button (it looks like a mine board) to show the list.

Now select “Gamepad with Mouse Tracking” from available layouts (this gives you mouse control to move in the Greenlight interface). Edit the design and select TrackPads> R

The other thing that you will need to do is connect the keyboard “key n” with your choice (you chose the L4 back bumper) that works as your Xbox button.

Finally, it’s time to launch Greenlight. Press the “Run” button below the application menu to start. Now use the “Start Winter” button next to your console to connect to a console you created to run away or select a game of “XCloud Library” tab to jump to a cloud games session.

Your deck will be discovered as a standard Xbox 360 standard, so it should “only work” in any game. Cumin when locally flowing can be surprisingly controlled but will depend on the health of your wireless network. For me, Greenlight is more amazing than playing on iPhone. Cloud games are completely another monster, depending on the speed of the Internet and cumin.
