The PlayStation 5 includes an upgrade volume by the user in a way that we have not seen before in another Sony controller. While this provides owners of controllers, the shopping units will eventually lead to a reduction in the cost of the upgrade, it is not just clear like an upgrade on the competitions of the competing microsoft.
Preparation of your console storage storage
The expansion of the internal storage unit was limited to members of the Sony experimental program until the system’s update was released for the month of September 15, 2021. Make sure to update your control unit to the latest fixed programs available within Settings> System> System Programs> Update and System Program Settings. If you enable automatic updates, the update will be downloaded and fixed without the need to do anything.
When your console is ready to accept the drive, the next step is to determine a drive that meets the micro -specifications of Sony. Make sure to read our guide to choose the suitable NVME SSD drive for your PlayStation 5. You can also check this Review the recommended SSD drives from Geek for Sony.
Do not forget that your drive will also need a cooling room to ensure that it does not rise or expose it to performance problems. You will also need a Philips (or a similar tool with a cross -headed head).
Install your new NVME engine
The first thing you have to do is turn off your PlayStation 5 by pressing and holding the power button for three seconds. Remove all cables including power cables, HDMI and any mesh cables, then place the control unit on a fixed surface. If the control unit is hot, leave it to cool before follow -up.
If you have the norm panel connected to the bottom of your console, you will need to remove it by deciphering one screw. If you put your console horizontally, decipher the pregnant woman. This allows you to move the side plate easily.
Put the console in a horizontal position so that the drive is on top and faces you. If you have a digital version without a drive, this will be considered “inverted” with the power button on your left and the PlayStation logo.
From this perspective, hold the left left corner from you (according to the above graph) and gently pull the cap to the top. The painting will click it and slide out.
You should now see the open fan cover, the drive group (if you do not have a digital console), and the expansion slot (called A in the above chart). If you can’t see the expansion hole cover, you remove the wrong side plate, so stir it and try again.
Remove the screw that fixes the cap in its place, then remove the cap, then put them on the side. Next, remove the screw in the expansion and small separator. The divers must match the size of your NVME engine, so put it in the right opening so that it is ready to fit the drive.
Now, install the drive by trying it with the conductor and insert it, and at this point you must feel a click. Pay the drive down to comply with the separator you modified and used the screw you just removed to install the drive in place.
You can now re -install the expansion hole cover and set it aside. Refix the side plate in place, then install the base holder, then place the control unit again in its permanent position. Connect any cables you removed and operate the console.
Now test and configure your drive
When you turn on your PlayStation 5, the console will achieve that the drive is equal and prepared before it is ready to use with your console. Be aware that any data stored in advance will be erased on the drive.
You can now use the drive to play the original PlayStation 5 games. Are you looking for a cheaper and easier way to play PS4 games that are compatible with previous versions? You can Do this using an ordinary old external drive.
